An FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is basically a way for 2 or more computers to connect to each other; allowing the two computers to communicate, send, and receive files from each other through the use of different software. To be able to connect to an FTP you must have access to the following:
1. Access to the Internet
2. Either a Web Browser or an FTP Client
3. You must know the persons IP address (Internet Protocol)
