apache is the best, i think. It's also nice to know that if you have a linux box in the future you can just copy over your httd.conf file and you're set.

yep, Apache is hands down the best web server imo

there are a few others, i think one is called omnihttpd or something to that effect, but i've never used it, apache, though it has a steep learning curve, can do anything you want it to do, and is a hell of a lot more secure than IIS and more fully featured than any of the others
