Color Laser Printer, Advice Needed...
I work at a local university and we have a SLOW Phaser 750P laser printer, and it prints color SO SLOW! I am looking to upgrade it, or buy a new one and need advice on which color laser to choose! I dont know much at all about laser printers... Money is not really an object with the university, however I would like to stay under or around 2500$. Thanks for all the help, and any reviews would be helpful as well!

Thanks,
~PCTech

I have the Phaser 8400PS; it SMOKES!!
very fast color and B/W...I bought it for under $1,000. and its my favorite color laser..I had a couple of others, but this one blows them away;
It uses the solid ink squares, which are a bit pricey, but color is as good as my wife's Epson c800 top of the line color inkjet, and it is made for enterprise use, so it should be perfect for what you are looking for...

We use the HP LaserJet 4550N at work and other than the warm-up time, it's fast. The warm-up time isn't a factor if you print every half-hour. The powersave feature can be extended to not go to standby so the warm-up time would be nil. Toners are kinda expensive though....as well as the drum kit but you only have to replace that every few thousand pages.
