conmcast and newsgroups

I havent been using newsgroups for ages; does comcast allow you to use programs like newsleecher?
I am trying to get it to work, but I keep getting "unable to connect"...

Anyone using Comcast and newsleecher successfully?

Server: newsgroups.comcast.net
username: main account email
pass: pass for main account

yeah, tried that, and cant get it to work...

"502..access denied"...

Just loaded newsleecher to see. Works fine here using these settings

News Server (NNTP): newsgroups.comcast.net
User name: your full Comcast.net Primary email address* (example: jdoe@comcast.net)
Password: your Comcast.net password

Many that have problems is due to not using the primary emaill account.

you are right, Rod....I forgot I am not the primary name on the account; the "other half" is...
I used her L/P and got right on!!
