Hmm. This forum has never been used and I wasn't sure where to put this. So...
SyncToy is a free simple program from Microsoft that can help you
Synchronize folders. Synchronization ensures that two folders in
different locations, even on different computers, each hold the newest
versions of your documents. It can be a lifesaver to people who bring
work home from the office on a laptop.
SyncToy performs similar to the Windows Briefcase. However, SyncToy can
synchronize multiple pairs of folders. It shows them in one place so
you can easily work with them. It's also much more customizable.
For example, you can set SyncToy to keep two folders up-to-date, or
keep old and new versions of documents. You can also set SyncToy to
synchronize only specific types of files such as .JPG pictures or .DOC
documents. You can download it at:

I use a sync program to keep a redundant copy of my jpg images, mp3's, My Documents, etc.
The beauty of this little gem is it works as well as SycroMagic. It looks at the source and the target and doesn't overwrite unchanged files. And, it also deletes files on the target that you have deleted on the source. Very nice utility.
I use the sync idea for data files, whereas I use Acronis to keep up to date images of the c:\ partition--or o/s partition.
