Limit amount of Download
Here's what I want to do. Running ServU, I want to make it where certain users can only download allotted amount in specific amount of time. Some users get on and just squat and take as much as they can. I know it's easier to just kill the account, but really don't want to do that. I can idle the user..kick the user...ect, but would really like to figure out how to limit amount/time ratio. Not a ratio site, just ratio of megs vs time.

We are all getting soft. I used to kill users. Now I just kick them.

But I can see what you mean. I know of no way to do it. A general speed limit for the user is one way but I guess you don't want to have that from the beginning.

Just use raidenftpd and you can limit what time they can download.

RaidenFTPd... Oh, I used to use Raiden for a while. I even bought a license as I got tired of the nagging screens. I didn't recall they had this feature. Maybe it wasn't there back at 2001? And where is my key? ... Ah, got it. I'll try it again some day in the near future.
Thank you.

Yeah, I can switch servers, even go back to XLight. But still not what really looking for. In XLight, it's just amount during session. Disconnect and reconnect makes a new session, unless I misunderstand. Maybe session is between restarts. Can limit the times, and may be what I do. Will look around some more. Know one of the servers I have run had the option. Now to remember what one.
