According to Think Secret, Apple will not unveil the widely speculated video iPod that prospective customers have been pining over the last few days. Rather, it will introduce an updated model of the existing iPod with capacities up to 80GB. The new iPod will reportedly be slightly smaller than existing 4th generation designs. The video iPod remains in development, but without a software delivery system for video content in place Apple apparently does not feel the time is right.
Apple will also introduce updated Power Mac and PowerBook models using DDR2. At least one of the new Power Macs will feature IBM's dual core PowerPC 970MP processor, while PowerBooks will see a slight upgrade in the form of a PowerPC 7448 processor.
