Sillyness on the @Home front.. hehe
There are a network of computers (6) behind switches and feeding off a new (just replaced) D-Link router. I "think" that my cable connection is freaking out.. when I plug in one computer to it, it works just fine, but when I plug in the lan I get about 20min of uptime, bittorrenting Knoppix, et al and I think the treads that push through the cable box black it out.
Is there something I should do, like to visit my nearest Shaw shop and have them look at the cable? I'm totally legit with it too, never been uncapped, then again, once you unplug it doesn't it reset itself.. Anywho.. this is just weird.. and my noggin REALLY doesn't want to be on the phone with the ISP for 30min.. (PLEASE tell me that I don't have to do that.. ) or Noooooo doh.. I have to.. grrrr....
Is there a firmware upgrade, or do "they" do that? Darn it.. (censored myself)..
*sigh*...
PS. I have heard about "sun spots" could they have FRIED the poor cable modem.. (I just don't believe to highly in them.. )
