Reset ASUS to factory settings

Hey Guys,

Your topic about over-clocking woke me up, and I tried overclocking my Athlon 1.3 Ghz CPU on my ASUS A7V133 mainboard. Now it doesn't start anymore . . .

Does anyone know a way to reset the mainboard to factory settings? Please help me out guys, I now only have very slow machine to work with.

Easy... Pull the mains out, and then pull the BIOS battery out.

Leave it for about 20 Minutes or so.

Put the BIOS battery back and put the mains back in.

Presto!!! Default Settings.

There are jumpers on some boards that reset the BIOS back to default to.

My way works on all of them, hehe.

I assume you have tried to press and hold down the Ctrl key,
while powering ON, and start to boot ?

I have an Asus P3BF and for reseting all, I do touch two pins with a jumper

That's in the manual but the image is not in the manual ! So the first time I touch a couple of pin before finding the good pins!

In your A7V133 manual, goto page 59. There you will see what pins to jump to clear the CMOS. Not sure if that's what your looking for.

Hey All,

Many thanks, it's running again. Indeed the manual show on page 59 how to reset the bastard. Nu jumpers, but a piece of unshielded wire did the trick.

I'm up to speed again, and I think I should stick with the 1.3 Ghz, overclocking isn't my piece of cake.
