Anyone know how I can enable Universal Plug and Play on Windows.NET? Without it I cant control or see the status of the connection on my ICS box...

Thats designed to DISABLE upnp

I want to do the opposite. Its enabled by default on XP but the service doesnt even seem to exist on .NET - at least not in RC1.

Try installing the beta of Nero.NET. It enables UPnP on windows XP so it might do the same for Win 2003

* bump *

Still interested in this. In Windows XP there is a UPnP service built in. All the programs claiming to enable/disable upnp do nothing more than starting the service, which I can do from the control panel.

In .NET is seems this functionallity is missing. The reason I am asking is that I have a NAT box running ICS. On windows XP pro I can view and configure the connection from any PC on my lan (I know this is done via upnp). On .NET I do not see the connection under "network connections" - I can use it but not configure it.

lickablepig is an unknown quantity at this point
I read this the other day... not sure if that means "don't have" or jus don't support. dunno wHat u think peepls?

Remote Assistance Sessions That Are Initiated from Internal Internet Connection Sharing Clients Cannot Connect

This behavior occurs because Windows Server 2003 does not support Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) that internal Remote Assistance clients use to determine the external IP address and port number of the NAT/Internet Connection Sharing device. Because of this, external computers cannot establish inbound connections to clients that are "behind" the NAT/Internet Connection Sharing device.... blah, blah, blaaah
