The nice people at Deerfield just gave me an offer for their FTP Server ( Visnetic FTP Server ).
The normal price is $149.95 and I can get it for $35.00, since I have a domain hosted with them.
Has anyone tried this software yet, and given it a real test,
to see if it's worth the money / hazzle to replace my old trustworthy ServU 2.x ?
It looks a heck of alot like Serv-U 4.x.....Do you plan on using secure file transfer? That's what I do with Serv-U and most peeps can't even log on... (Operator Error???)
Yes, SSL would be a plus, if I can get it to work,
and convince the potentiale users to use a compatible client
This will in first place only be used inside my testnet, and as a educational tool
for setting up FTP server/clients.

Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything. 14% of people know that.
Deerfield makes good software, so their FTP Server Software will probably be good software also. The only expierence I have had with Deerfield is using their MDaemon software, which worked great.
