I hope this issue hasn't already been brought up, but I have looked around and don't recall seeing anything about it.

Ever since the recent board upgrade some of the topic threads here display a little screwed up were everything is pushed off to the right side of the screen.

I'll put up a screen shot here and then continue with my explination............

You can see there how the actual thread is pushed over to the right.
The odd part is that the first page of that topic displays just fine, it's only the second page that looks funny like that.

Most of the threads display just fine, usually it's just the ones that are more than one page long that have the trouble.

It's not that big of a deal but some of the topics are a little annoying to read like that. It's happening on both my systems so I don't think it's a problem on my end but thought it was odd that I haven't seen any mention of it from any of the other members here.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

I think I may have figured out whats causing it and how it can be reproduced.
It seems to be a bug in the forum when viewing long topics with an increased test size in IE.
In IE if you go to: view\text size\larger
You may be able to see the problem for yourself.

I always found it easier for me to use a slightly larger text size and I guess it's just something in the forum upgrade that doesn't like it anymore.

Opera Dave, Opera.
(Or maybe ProSurf which I haven't tried yet - seems interestening though. Of course, this is no solution, I know.)

I'm using 800 X 600, if I bump it up to 1024 x 768 I need to go to the setting "larger" in order to confortably read the text and then it gives the same display problem.

@.unicorn, maybe I should try something else, I have been curious about opera anyway. However, seems like there should be an easy solotion since in the two years I been here the trouble just started after the recent upgrade.

Although I don't think I visit any other Invision boards, I never ran into any trouble at other forums or websites.

I guess it's not that big of a deal Sephiroth, if I'm the only one effected by the problem I can live with it. But now that I brought it to your attention if you ever do hear of a bug-fix for this issue and Invision board I would apprechiate you trying it if it's quick and easy.

Thanks,
Dave

the next time it happens to you Dave, will you do a view -> source in internet explorer, and copy and paste all of the code in a pm to me? as far as i know, you're the only person having this prob, so maybe IE on your comp. isn't rendering the code right for some reason

nevermind, i think i found the problem

i *think* i'm missing an </td> , </tr> , or </table> somewhere in the html for because when either a picture, or a long line of text without a line break is posted, it keeps going and going and going, i'll see if i can get it fixed later this afternoon

Thank you very much Sephiroth, that did the trick and and everything is now displaying fine on both my systems.

The reason why I like a larger text size is that I have a back problem and it's much more comfortable for me to recline a little to take the weight off my lower back. That puts me a little farther away from my monitor and the larger text size really helps.

I really appreciate you taking the time to do that for me since it wasn't a major issue or anything effecting a lot of members here, but it really does make it easier for me to follow all the threads.

Hope I can soon return the favor to you.
Dave
