Was reading about this over at ShareReactor today and decided to give it a shot.

h**p://www.filedonkey.com/

Search for files on the eDonkey network in your web browser, find results based on availability, click a link and begin the download in eDonkey. It supposedly doesn't cripple the network like the old version of the eDonkey bot did.

I tried it out, works really well. For you Donkey fans, this is an awesome utilitly.

This one is powered by ShareReactor. Not quite sure what that means, but it works.

I guess Mr. Simon Moon helped create this search engine.

Anyhow,
Cyberion

iam using the donkey for weeks now and iam pleased with it, better i remove kazaa and even the wife uses it :-)

there are problems with people who are using an firewall so there are forums for:
http://tdn.no-ip.org:90/pl/tdn.pl
and
http://home.pacbell.net/mikespot/

enough information on these pages to get it working ...............

it is important to get good a good serverlist well all the stuff is on those two pages .

i download movies with the donley and i have till now, one faillure a chinese subtitled movie with kazaa a LOT more .

anyway you like it or hate it when it runs you gonna like believe me just read some pages and go for it .............

just wanna say one of the good things is: when you share and open your upload speed the higher you wil get a higher download speed .

upload low means download not as high as possible ( on the options menu)

also have a look at your id normally it will be higer as : 300000000 if you get an 1419 or a number like that LOWer as 300000000 you have a problem there is no sharing or there is a another problem with the settings

correct me if iam wrong..............

h33p://www.filenexus.com/ same as share reactor

What happened to the servers that were installed at installation? Did you manually remove them? I sometimes choose the "Add all" option at the bottom of the web page below, but eDonkey has to be running to add the servers I think. List stays pretty current. Good luck...

I ran into another Problem - I finnally got it to work with a good server list ... it connected right away, But the prob was when I was trying to download a app, it said it was searching for 4 hours straight - I finally gave up and shut it off. This did'nt just happen with one app it happened with everyone I tried to download.

Also I am running a firewall - I disabled it and it still did it .
