Woah, didn't know that about Drive Image, that the 2002 version? Makes sense really. I really wanted a backup of critical files (rather than a whole HD backup) but that is useful to know.

Thanks all.

I LOVE Drive Image, but I wonder when the hell they are going to add incremental capability to it. If you're smart and backup every 2 weeks or so your using too many cd's. Supposedly if you use it partnered with DataKeeper it covers all your bases, but it ties up alot of space on my backup HD.

Maybe when they find a safe way to make it work properly for NTFS partitions........otherwise is would be useless for most of the experienced NT users...

Theres a wonderful invention called Rewritable CDs

The backup utility in XP sucks IMO, not for the amount of critical data I have to backup, its like 2GB worth, includes documents, pictures, email database etc.

I LOVE Drive Image too but Drive Image 2002 is good for only 2-3 Cd's
and PowerQuest Deploy Center 5.5 is good for multiple CD's.

Odd. Can you give any details? I haven't yet tried disc spanning with DriveImage (DriveImage 5.0).

Yeah but they dont span over multiple CDs I think. Genie seems to work fine.
Norton Ghost 2003 supports Disk Spanning! I used it 24/12/2002. Two CDs and 3GB worth stuff was compressed and spanned!
