I use kazaa lite on one comp and my family has another where we take care of financial needs. I have gotten viruses from kazaa lite but they were immedately recognized by nav so I didn't have any major problems with kazaa.

billibiker u're a naughty boy! I use kazaa lite and i got a few viruses which were recognized by NAV. Problem is, if the infected file is an incomplete file, sometimes it cannot be repaired, so u've wasted ur time

I use Kazaa lite and e-mule. Keep the firewall/trojan/virus software upto date and you should be ok. As for banking I just make sure that nothing else is running before I log on. As i'm a multi-millionaire (lol) I do worry a little more about these things and do have to make sure all those 0's are in the right place.
Anyway, i've had virus's before and I expect to get more in the future. Where would we all be without all those stories of the day our nmachines got wiped out by this or that virus.

When you install Kaza or most if not all p2p programs they will install adware or spyware , including trojans and keystroke software on your machines . Ya have to be crazy to bank online or use credit cards online if ya have installed a p2p program . Some will let you uninstall the spyware and still use the program but most will not as this is how they make their cash, selling your online info to retailers.
Their is an exceptional article in one of the pc mags , I will see which one and post it which outlines what is installed (spyware) and which can be uninstalled without disabling the program .

I use Kazaa and haven't had any problems, certianly no money missing from my bank account. Used in conjunction with a good firewall, AV and something like Adaware or Search and Destroy it should be OK. Not heard of fines being issued, although if you are caught for having illegal material on your Hard Drive then that is an offence.

But it seems that companies are monitoring emule and kazaa now to see what you're sharing and get in contact with your isp when you're sharing soemthing they don't like and them your isp can warn you or cut you off.
I have just been in trouble for this
