Caution should be used when flashing a bios ! I hope you're not going up 2 or 3 levels. I have been warned, that if you skip a level of upgrade you could turn your computer into an expensive anchor. Please be careful !

it seems crazy to make updating the bios so hard/hit or miss affair people have to update theirs so they can fit a faster cpu (like me) why don't they make it simpler like downloading the whole boot disk files with a simle setup program for you particular bios

By the way i have now decided to give it a miss and limit myself to a AMD 2ghz cpu

Hi,

Epox do this with their official Bios releases, 5 files including a readme.txt, the BIOS.bin, AWDFLASH.exe, UPDATE.bat and RESTORE.bat all in a self-extracting zipfile that extracts to A:\.

I've been using Epox m/b's now for about 8 years and never had an issue with them.
