Update: I spoke with him on the phone and he sounded pretty up beat but scared. Seems to be somthing to do with a medication he was taking. Hes still in icu. We're hoping he pulls though ok but its very serious kidneys stiil in full failure.

I just called my father and told him I love him. I just hope I don't get stuck in this situation soon. If he won't stop drinking I might...

Well glad to hear he's at least ok. He's stable at least? That's great if so.

Hope he pulls out of it soon. But how are you doing? You ok? Hope you got some one to talk to. If you are filling over-relmed make sure you got some sort of support system, you don't want to have any mental health problems because of this shit.

Well I wish you and your family best wishes.

Think positively. Enjoy the time you still have with him. Laughter is a big help if he's awake. Tell him when all this shit is done your going to get him two hot strippers. Or whatever floats his boot. Pick the right moment so he don't have a heart attack. lol That or just curse at his ass and give him orders and tell him he better make it or else... haha lol

Theres some good news afoot. Saturday and sunday we almost lost him but today he was doing much better and it looks like he will recover. You know I have realized with older parents that these kinds of things can happen at anytime and I know that I need to make sure that I have said all that I need to to them before its too late and the opportunity passes.
