for it!* Many of you began downloading the Beta 2 Technical Refresh as soon
as you received the mail indicating it was available.* We are very excited
about the Beta 2 Technical Refresh and are anxious to gather feedback from
you as you begin using the product!
Unfortunately, with 15,000 of you out there in the technical beta, and the
popularity of the Office 2003 beta product, demand has saturated the segment
of the network connecting to the Betaplace servers tonight.* Our IT
operations team took the Betaplace servers offline sometime after midnight
PST in order to restore network performance across the impacted systems.* We
have some other options for getting the Beta 2 Technical Refresh out to you
as soon as possible.* But we need you to bear with us, as we must remove the
download content for a period of time in order to bring the Betaplace
servers back online and maintain network stability
Looks like we'll have to wait a litle bit longer....
