After thinking some more about this project it may just be used for playing back mp3's that were made from my own LPs.
It will have DVD drive so as to be able to copy songs to hard drive easier.
Some one asked about the editing of the hisses and clicks, I have gave that some thought not in detail yet but the sound will be reproduced through means that were not even thought of at the time of lots of these albums were made. So with that being the case it will almost have to be trial and error as to the way to procede.
Thanks tubebouy for pointing out that lots of sounds can and will be lost if done wrong and yes I agree manually removing clicks are better. Hiss removing is another world all by its self. You have to research the sound reproducing components being used and be as sure as can that the components are not the cause of the hiss.
Are you talking about running the sound card into powered speakers or or a real stereo?
I was thinking of using powered speakers so as not to make it impossible to move. If I use powered speakers, it can almost be portable.
I may get mad at the whole thing and scrap the idea but I doubt it.
Thanks
