It appears to be a corrupted a dmg.

Actually Will from my latest findings, it seems that those DMGs are compressed DMG which cannot be properly read in currently available Windows software. I burnt this DMG file to a CD as a data file and used it in a Mac OS X system. The DMG mounted just fine. The files were readable too. I finally managed to install Firefox that way. Lol I might be still very new to Mac.

Yea thats what we are using now BC. Even got a simple gui for it.
