Hi!! Everyone!! I got a new dell pc and it has windows xp home edition as operating system. When ever I play a game on it the cdrom drawer keeps opening up by it self making the game crash!! Anyone know of a fixe for this little problem? Thanks in advance for the help!!

you could rip the game and install it on your computer
easy way just use:

Yes it does!! I plan to do a fresh re-install of xp to see if it solves the problem or not!!

Is this a CD-RW? If so, there is a good chance it is a Lite-on. They have had this problem before. I'd check with Dell about a firmware update before a re-install.

I like the duct tape idea best, screw tech troubleshooting, do what any MAN would do, stick that thing shut with some duct tape, that stuff fixes everything.
