what lead you to belive that the videocard is the component to blame

the only time I've gotten BSODs in XP is when I've got ISOs with ruined files

try a clean install
we need more info: did you update to XP (from 2k/9x)if so drivers can very often cause trouble
what does the bluescreen actually say
we can't help you unless you get more specific ya know...

dazlinks suggestion is good: if it actually is your GF2 try booting into safemode, uninstall any current videocard drivers, reboot into safemode again and install some new ones (might try the 14.40, any 12.x or more should be fine in xp)
