I have the choice of getting two sound cards.....
Here are the options, their specs, and their respective prices's

1: leadtek winfast 6xsound , dolby digital ac-3 , dts , 5.1 , eax + spdif
coaxial & optical ) in/out - optical cable supplied

PRICE : R 379.62 (South African Rand)

2: creative sb live d.e 5.1 - live digital entertainment 5.1- lots bundle
software

PRICE : R 568.86 (South African Rand)

I understand that everyone would recommend the Creative Labs, but the price wise, would the leadtek winfast be good? Money is tight.
What would you guys recommend?

I was planning to get the Creative labs the whole time, but Now I see the Leadtek, I have the option of looking......and comparing......

Also....don't know if this would help, I got the Leadtek winfast GeForce 4 graphics card......just a hint.....don't know if it'll help

thanx

hey mo I found a review of the lead tech for you

Quote:

The Leadtek Winfast 6X offers a lot of options for a low cost card. Music quality was good and sound was reproduced through all four speakers. Positional sound in games was also good and didn't result in a large performance hit. DVD performance was adequate, but sound was not as sharp as the Philips cards tested. However, taking into account the price of this card at ~NZ$80 you can't really go wrong if you are looking for an entry level or low cost feature rich card.
check out the rest of it here:
