Advice needed for server

I have had a BAD problem here that has just got sorted out, making a long story short all of my computers suffered sever damage due to "brownout". All that is fixed but here is my question:
I need to get my a server back on-line, I can use a Pent III 1000 mhz w/256 meg of ram, Athlon 2800xp w/2gig of ram, Celeron 466 w/786meg ram or Athlon 1900 w1gig of ram.

It will be ONLY ftp use for me to transfer files home or across the states to friends. So of the above choices which would be better suited for this purpose.

They are all good chooices, but I'd go with one that had at least
1gig of ram.
In fact, I'd use the Pent III 1000 mhz but upgrade the ram!

The Pent III was my choice except it will only accept up to 512 meg of memory. Which then got me to wondering about the celeron which will accept more memory and should be cooler than the others I would think.

Well.. my little spare box that I throw DNS and other web tech to is run from a P2 450 with.. 968MB RAM!!
