Qualcomm files for emergency stay on ITC ban

NEW YORK, June 11 (Reuters) - Qualcomm Inc. on Monday it filed a request for an emergency stay of a U.S. International Trade Commission ban on the import of some phones containing Qualcomm chips.

The ITC said late on Thursday it had barred U.S. imports of new phones with Qualcomm chips the trade agency said infringed a Broadcom Corp. patent. The ban exempted phone models that had already been imported by June 7.
