Ok, I recently download (legal) one song from WalMart.com for .88 cents.
At WalMart.com it says:
When I buy downloads from Walmart.com, what can I do with the music files?
By purchasing a music download, you can:
- Download the music to 1 computer and back up music to 2 additional computers (see instructions below)
- Make 10 burns to a CD
- Make unlimited transfers to a portable device

I transfered a copy of the song from my computer to a MP3/WMA player (VR3 MP320T) I bought from WalMart and that is ONLY sold through WalMart. After transfering the song to the MP3/WMA player it would not play. In fact, it's the only song on the player that
WILL NOT play.
Seems this player does play WMA format, but not protected/copyrighted WMA format. GREAT it only plays PIRATE copies of songs.
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE THAT TRY TO BE LEGAL GET SCREWED!
I'M OFF NOW TO DOWNLOAD AN ILLEGAL COPY OF THE SONG I ALREADY PAID FOR!
Monday I'll contact
Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
702 SW Eighth Street
Bentonville, AR 72716
Phone: 479-273-4000
Fax: 479-273-4053
to request a refund! I doubt it will happen and since it's only .88 cent I'm not out anything big, but this just goes to show why the legal consumers are getting screwed while the pirates continue to get what they want for FREE! Who is to blame? The RIAA and these companies who screw up our systems and cause us (the legal consumers) so many extra problems to fight with all because the big companies want to try and stop pirates from getting something they will always get for FREE!
