Need some help with a SATA drive
I have a ASUS SK8V M/B with a 80G SATA drive with the O/S on it.
And the O/S is MS home server beta!
But when I put a new 250G SATA drive in I get No hard-drives detected at boot.
If I pull the 250 out, the HD is detected and I can boot off the 80.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks
UN

Are both drives the same SATA spec (SATAI, SATAII etc)? And have you disabled the raid option in bios?

O.K This was been fixed!
It was a simple case of trying to run a SATAII when I only have SATAI.
Down graded it to SATAI and off I go
