ms word + firefox = frustrating
ok so I'm a collage student and sometimes I'm in a hurry. This has got to be one of the most annoying and frustrating mistakes and I've made it a few times.
if you email your self a word document and open it with firefox. firefox asks if you want to Open File or Download file (Save) I always try and hit Download but sometimes I make the mistake and say Open File....usually when I'm in a hurry because that is the default selection.
so then your working on your word doc after you've hit Open File and then you Save your doc in word and close word. Well guess what you just lost your file. It doesn't save it, it goes to some temp files folder for firefox but as soon as you close word it gets deleted.
this is freakn madness, you shouldn't be able to save a file (without being prompted) that gets automatically deleted.
so my question, is there a way to make firefox's default to Save File to DIsk instead of Open File?
I'm usally ontop of my shit and this isn't a problem, but sometimes it happens you know.
