Bully banned from UK stores

Family unfriendly, reckons DSG

DSG INTERNATIONAL, owner of PC World, Currys and Dixons says it won't stock Rockstar's game Bully, in any of its stores.


"We're fully aware people will be able to buy this game elsewhere, but we feel this game is not appropriate for Currys' family-friendly image," said the firm in a statement.

The game, renamed Canis Canem Edit (Dog eat dog) in Europe features a kid who has to deal with school bullies. A US judge recently said it was no more violent than what's normally on the telly of an evening.

It will be released in Europe on October 27th, and carries a BBFC 15 rating. DSG outlet PC World is happily taking orders for Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, as well as Grand Theft Auto 4, which are also released in October 2007, however. Today, Keith Vaz, a Labour Party MP, asked Tony Blair about Bully. The answer was woolly and vague.
