DDR still outselling DDR-2 memory
MEMORY TRACKING site DRAM Exchange said its figures show that DDR-2 is still failing to outsell DDR memory. The whole DRAM market was worth &#364.92 billion during the first quarter. It said that in the first quarter of 2006 the ratio stood at 29.1:58.2 in the quarter, making DDR the mainstream product in the retail market.Of modules shipped, 512MB DIMMs held 55.5 per cent of the market, compared to 256MB DIMMs at 21.3 per cent.
