Did I hear anyone say LeechFTP? Nope... I didn't .... well if you don't know about this one you should try to find it. It's simple and allows multiple threads... so if your on a high speed connection you can connect several times to the same server (if they allow it) and bypass any server speed limits they set.
It may be getting kind of old... but it's one of the best at what it does and I've never had it crash on any system of mine, where it be Win95, 98, ME, 2000 or XP. Oh.. plus... it's free
