Hey Everyone!
LOL, I haven't visited B1 for awhile, and when I come back I see this thread has been reserrected. Isn't that something?!?
If you're curious, the surgery went very well, but I was horribly miserable for about the next 5 days. During that time I wasn't supposed to blow my nose or sneeze (now, how in the hell...!) to avoid tearing the tissue in the surgery area. On the 5th day I went back to the doc, and he stuck this long, thin vacuum-like device up both sides of my noses and sucked out all the built-up mucous (yeah, I know, pretty picture). Oh, what a relief! You can't believe all the stuff that came out, and even though it was a bit painful the relief in the end made it worth the while.
Now, a year later, I can absolutely recommend this procedure to anyone who might be suffering from weather-induced sinusitus. As a follow-up treatment I squirt an 8-oz bottle of warm water mixed with a pre-packaged saline solution up both nostrils daily as part of my shower routine. This has helped keep the sinus passages clear, and I feel as good as ever. Plus, the sinus rinse I believe is responsible for keeping me healthy--I haven't had a single cold since I started. I'm so glad I had this surgery, and if you're in a position where your doctor recommends this procedure--go for it!!!
Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to see Keru, but I was able to visit Akihabara and Shinjukui!!!
