Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm here where the surgery will be done, had my pre-op today and surgery tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting it done, my only regret is that they put me under--I wanted to watch them do it!
I'll check back in once I'm mobile and my nose won't drain in public!

All,
Had my surgery yesterday, the doctor said it went very well. In addition to cleaning the sinus passages he also cleaned out some polyps that were in there. I was a bit fatigued yesterday from the anesthesia, but feeling much better today. After a long hot shower I got most of the blood clots out, draining problem seems to have gone away. So, I'm back out in public already, and may take a short trip to a near-by Tokyo neighborhood this afternoon just to kill the boredom.
I'm glad the surgery is over, I wanted it done but there's always the thought tucked in the back of your mind something might go awry, especially since they're working near the eyes and brain. But, all ended well.

Good luck dude. I had my sinus's flushed about 10 years ago. Was crap. Blood everytime i blew my nose. My passages are also too small, so I have this constant nasel drip. But hoping to go for another flush soon
but yeah. good luck, and enjoy the trip!

its good to re-visit the past.
especially events that brought love and cheer to mind. In this case.. clear passages.
New meaning.. safe passage.. ok.. corny.. isn't it..

Now all we need is to hear from torataka and see if all went as well a year later as had been hoped for.
Thanks
