What is a good way..and easy?
I need to backup my partitions and would like a way that will allow me to reinstall the contents of the current partitions to another drive for safe keeping while at the same time being able to access any folder from the backup. There are 6 partitions 20 - 25gig each with over 75% used. So it must be backed up so as to get ready for building a new computer and the main reason is for safe keeping. Sounds complicated but there is a simple way to do alot of things and this is one of them I hope.

Thanks
Dudelive

Have you thought of using Ghost? It should be able to handle that

I have used ghost to back up smaller partitions but mothing this big , do you want to back up to media or another large hard drive? With my luck lately I would lose the lot trying to backup to DVD.s Ghost Explorer can access your backups but only if all parts of the image are available.

unicorn is on a distinguished road
The easy and good way is to use a util like SecondCopy and then all the time keep your backup up to date. The backup should be separated from the box and why not by a USB2 connected 250 GB external HDD from LaCie?
