Microsoft ActivSync Won't Work Anymore
I had ActivSync 3.8 working well with my Pocket PC
But then I saw 4.0 beta and decided to upgrade
After installing it, the ActivSync window didn't come up when it was syncing and also wireless syncing wasn't allowed so I tried to go back to 3.8 but now that window doesn't come up either and I can't even establish a partnership as the screen doesn't ever appear although it says it's connected.

I have tried uninstalling it and even wiping out the directory and then restarting and reinstalling and it still won't work.

Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks
Robin

well, I say that first un-install it, make sure its out of your start up stuff in msconfig, c heck ALL "Temporary directories", and there are several of them in XP, then re-boot.
then, its time to hit the registry, and get rid of all references to ActiveSync...it may be one word or it may be 2...
then, reboot, and re-install 3.8

Dont forget to delete the program files\Active Sync, or where ever it put itself directory as well...

I use to have that problem with Actice Sync all the time; that's why I went to Palm, and then to blackBerry!!!

Good luck, and check every spot on you pc for bits and pieces of it, as they are in several locations!
