I have not yet tried eatting fish since my first attack. I have avoided eatting brats and have swiched to Bud Light. Everything I have read about gout since my attack says it's not the alcohol, but rather the yeast in the beer. Of course, Bud Light beer has less yeast in it than regular BUD. Yeast is high in purines which are found in many foods, but more than others. Uric acid comes from the breakdown of purines.
So far I have not had another attack, but I have meds handy just in case.
