Knoppix 3.7 Linux OS
Well this OS fires up with no problems on 1 of my 3 systems.
Before I waste my time talking in depth about the problem does anyone else here other than Poolman use this?
I have Googled several sites about the problem and found many ideas which I have tried with no success. Currently I'm downloading Knoppix 3.3 since someone suggested that.

Latest update. I downloaded and tried using Knoppix 3.3 on the two systems 3.7 would not work correctly with and it worked on one of those two. Now my laptop is the only system of mine I have not got a version of Knoppix to work on with the internet.

I have been using it since version 3.4 , it works fine on most of my machines . Yhe only one I have trouble with is an old celeron333 with only 96Mb of memory.
Have you tried playing around with the various boot options ??

I remember booting up from a live CD and it worked like a charm. Version number.. 3.4 I think.
Though by the sound of this thread I'm not going to be using 3.7 anytime soon.

Don't be scared to use 3.7 it does work like a charm on some systems. I've been trying both versions on as many different systems as I can. On my parents system both versions load fine if I load using failsafe.
As for my laptop. Yes I have tried some cheat codes, but not all. I read that the problem could be that I have an internal lan & WiFi card. I'll work more on it and post more results as I go.

does knoppix run strictly onoff the CD?
Do you have to do any installing?
Does it get involved with registry?

@moen - All off the CD, no HD needed. Since it don't need the HD, nothing is written to the registery.
