It is a sick world we live in. I would hope that the 2 bodies found were not those of the missing children- but then they would be somone elses family and loved ones. All we can do in the end is mourn for their loss and do whatever we can to help prevent this kind of atrocity in future. That at least one of the people charged wit their murder already had been accused of rape before and still allowed to work with children is a crime itself.
Rest in peace, and hope your deaths bring about the changes that need to be made to prevent this from happening again

I hadn't heard about this until you told me about it DoG... but it's some really sick crap. I don't know how in the hell someone could do something like that to two little children, I think about my 6 and 8 year old sisters when I read something like that and wonder why would someone do something like that? It's a really sad world we live in sometimes. And stuff like this reminds us that the little problems we have every day are really trivial compared to things like this. Hopefully people that are in power, government, law enforcement, etc. will wake up and stop crap like this from happening again. And I second what PittPull said, I'd hate to even think of what I would do to someone if I found them who did something like this.

Perhaps there are positive areas of the recent string of kidnappings and killins of children. Parents are no longer taking the world for granted, and are paying closer attention to their children. Whole towns come together in an effort to do one thing: keep each other safe. And while this is ATROCIOUS and the commiters of the crime should recieve the highest penalty within the law, maybe its just the wakeup call that we all needed. And now that we know, it will happen far less than it has these last months and our children will be even safer than before.

Orig, I dont belive for a second that there is a positive side to it...
I dont believe that people being forced to fear for the lives of their children, and keep them locked up is OK because it might increase the societys security. If it wasnt for the sick-minded people it wouldnt be neccessary and people could live freely, without constant fear.

not sure where all the earlier posters live, maybe in the uk maybe not? I do and it gets no better when our system of justice is as it is.
once i believed in the death penalty but have come to see the error of that, mistakes can and do take place in any society, that is a fact, those mistakes should be able to be rectified.
but can it be right that a murderer is allowed out of prison after 12 years?? that is the recomendation of a judge in a recent murder case in this country?? it will never be right to kill but those who do should never be free
to those who mourn the 2 children, i have no words that can possibly help, but just hope that time helps

Yes i live in the UK and yes the justice system sucks. You can get sentenced to 12 years in prison but be out on good behaviour in 6. Thats if your conviction is upheld and not quashed because of incompetent police officers and CPS. These sicko's should be put away for LIFE. As in till they die. Unfortunately they will be released when they re no longer seen as a threat to the community. /me MAD. As i'm typing this i see that the police are confident the 2 bodies found are those of the missing girls- at least the waiting time is now over for their parents and they can finally start the mourning period.
Rest in peace

I read the whole story thanks for the link. If I ever found the person I would slit his throat and string him up by his nuts and slice him in half from his butthole to his brain I have no tollerence for kids dying inocently

I don't know why our society seems to get more violent instead of more peaceful as we "advance", but it seems that violence and killing is easier for people to do to each other now.....
We have Video and TV shows that make killing seem like just another day, and then wonder why people do it.....?
I hope that someday soon we realize that life is precious, and our children are the Most precious gift of all, and somehow stop the senseless things that are happening.......
May peace be with those Poor Babys, and their Families and Friends....

Gee, thought that only happened in the US. I prefer death to convicted murderers. No chance then of a "Repeat Offender"!
I think kids have been getting kidnapped and killed for decades. We just hear more about them now. I don't know what the answer is. Truth in sentencing? YES. You get 12 years, you serve 12 years. Time off for GOOD behavior. Screw that! I saw we add time for BAD behavior. And no cable tv, video games, and all that crap in prison. Time should be hard. Not a fricking vacation!
But you know, I don't know all the details of the case in the UK, but I can't tell you how many times I've been at Wal-Mart or wherever and see parents leave their kids unattended in the store or in the family car waiting for mommy and daddy. Or at a playground or countless other places.
We can't wait and hope that our governments will do more to protect our kids. Take care of your own. We live in a dangerous world and it ain't gonna get any better. There will always be Bad Guys. Don't take your family's safety for granted. Ever! Not Ever!!!
