I have to agree on some of these points. I, for one, will not trade down in size for signicantly more money just to have an LCD or plasma screen. Yes, CRT models are bulky, but the price is right and image quality does me just fine.
I used the same principal when I bought my LCD monitor. I had a 19" Samsung CRT, and with my 2003 federal tax refund (love that man Bush!) upgraded to a 19" Eizo L767 for $900. Great price, but for the money do you think they'd throw in a digital cable? Hell, no, I got an analog cable only and had to order the digitial cable to get the LCD's full benefit. I'm glad I bought it as the screen size is huge and the image is beautiful, but even 9 months later I'm still miffed about the lack of a digital connector!!!
