Q: We are testing MCE 2005 and are not able to get 5.1 dolby digital audio to play from within MCE. Is this the place for that question, or is there a better place to get an answer?

Q: With all of these partners how subscriptions will our customers need to subscribe to? ie. Napster, movie link etc.
A: Not required to sign up with any of the subscriptions unless you would like to use these services

A: System Builders are encouraged to subscribe to the action pack.

Q: I can see that the IR blaster lets MCE control Cable and Sat STB's, but how do you capture that video to an MCE device?
A: The cable and satellite STBs must be connected to the Media Center PC via a PCI or USB TV Tuner card.

Q: If you have a current Action Pack subscription, will MCE be a quarterly update?
A: The subscription runs for 1 year. If your subscription is still active for October, you will receive the MCE 2005 if you are in a country where MCE is distributed.

Q: If a DVD is required, why notr deliver OS on DVD instead of 2 CDs?
A: DVD media cost more to product. The combined size of the install package on the two CDs does not justify the cost of DVD media.

A: Windows MCE 2005 will be part of the Action Pack for October in the 13 countries where MCE is available (except Japan).
