I have no knowledge about writing code, but I suspect the program I need would be simple for someone with rudimentary skill.

I want to be able to automatically create folders (sub-directories) based on filenames. This functionality would best be added to a re-naming program, of which there are many, as I would want to create folders using only part of the filename (say, up to, but not including, a character).

Does anyone here have this kind of skill? Or can someone point me in the direction of a forum where programming enthusiasts might want to try this challenge?

Or, even better, is there already a program that does this?

I want to be able to organize all the files in one specific folder into sub-directories based on their filename (or part thereof).
