Think "Geographic Protectionism".
You can buy a KIA but can you ship it to Korea to get a $10 tune up?
We're talking Auto Repair, Plumbing (home ownership is at record levels), Day Care, ALL Medical services (Dentistry, Nursing, Radiology etc.) These jobs can NOT be "out-sourced". There are many more and though they may not pay as much as "tech" jobs (some do) they are MUCH more secure.
Now, nobody gets "rich" working at a day care center or rotating tires at Pep Buoys, but, if you're young enough to seriously consider a careerer change, getting into one of the above now may give you the experience to start your own business before you know it.
There are also management positions in the above fields that provide a comfortable living.
