PROCEDURE
1. Get braced...FORMAT your PC and start with a FRESH Install of Windows XP Media Center Edition.
2. After she boots, extract the driver package to a folder and remember where you extracted it to.
3. Go to the Device Manager and select your 'Multimedia Video Controller' device. (It will be marked w/ an ALERT).
4. Right click this device and choose 'Update Driver.'
5. Choose the 'Install from a list or specific location' option.
6. Choose the 'Don't search, I will choose a driver to install' option.
7. Press the 'Have disk' button.
8. Now choose the 'List all devices' toggle instead of the 'List only compatible devices.'
9. Install the Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (Encoder/Decoder) driver.
10. Press 'OK' at any warning messages.
11. Restart your computer.
12. Install the InterVideo MP3+DVD XPack.
13. Restart your computer.
14. If you have an nVidia GeForce card then these steps apply to you. (Otherwise, procede to step 15.)
a. Go to WWW.GURU3D.COM.
b. Procede to the downloads section and acquire the 41.03 nVidia Detenator drivers.
c. Install the Detenator drivers.
d. Restart the computer.
NOTE: If this procedure is not followed then you will have problems with MCE crashing when switching between Windowed <--> Fullscreen modes.
15. ENJOY! You should now be able to use the TV in Media Center!
