I've changed firewalls... now using Agnitum Outpost, very very impressive firewall and a lot easier to manage than Tiny Personal Firewall 5.5 ... but i am keeping a close eye on TPF 6.0 which i have tested on my other Server 2003 install, i believe it will soon join the ranks of mainstreme firewalls due to its ease of use and flexibility.

for my AV i use Nod32 simply the best for me. im not a fan of Norton Bloatware Anything, sorry just had to say it.

btw, i tried McAfee and it slows your system down ... very noticeable during bootup and shut down.

DzNFek...have you heard anything else about TPF 6?
I have a 40% discount upgrade offer from Tinysoft, and if 6 is much improved I don't want to pass it up.

right now... unless you want the headaches of early beta stages i'd forget about installing it. but if you want to familiarize yourself with the new interface and enhancements then by all means download and install it on a machine thats not directly wired to the net. i would use that 40% upgrade on a stable release and impementation of TPF 6.0. hth

btw, one thing i loved about 6.0 is its much easier to use/configure than 5.5.

Thanks DzNFek. I did get it for the site, but I seem to have some issues with configuration.
And as far as I can tell, the beta stage was over at the end of June. The one I got isn't beta.

thats what they always say ... its kinda like a marketing ploy. i was there through (almost) the whole 5.0 to 5.5 builds, uninstalling and upgrading after everytime a new one came out... this is the same thing, so buckle up.

i would wait for it to mature a bit, maybe when it reaches 6.2 or 6.3 ... right now its not worth much, like you were witness to... all those errors.

This is a perfect example of how a noob, or anyone else for that matter, can be banned forever. Join a forum, and make your first post a totally despicable request......tools for credit card hacking. This is the kind of scum of the earth that helps to preserve the dangers of being on the web. And any scum like this that tries to park his lame a s s @ BetaOne will get kicked and will never be welcome back.

Oh, and if anyone cares to spam his email, it's cocoboycool@yahoo.com
