Have you tried burning using different progam than roxio ?

If it's really dead you can pick up a brand new lite on 53X burner for just a few $$$

I know is not much help but you could try using different software to see if it work
at worse you make a few beer coaster

the error points to your media, have you tried other types? Make sure you motherboard drivers are installed, make sure aspi is installed if needed, disable XP's built in burning service. If your using an nforce based motherboard, make sure you didn't install the SW drivers, they will create problems, if your using a via based motherboard install the 4 in 1 drivers. just a few hints.
