Partition magic asks for floppies to create rescue discs , is it possible to put it on to a cd and boot from that . If the answer is yes how do i do it.
hmmmm I never thought of doing that stumuzz. The only real problem i see is that alot of times when useing them (at least for me) it will ask for the other disk. It wouldn't know that it was actaully on the same disk. Maybe just maybe you could put them on seperate cds, but that would be kind of a wast. I would say you probly have to edit some code to make it work. hmmmm well thats over my head :P
It won't normally run from a read-only media so to get around that you have to create a RAM drive and load all the necessary files into it.
Through floppy emulation you can have a 2.88meg floppy image so that gets you around the size limitation and you can also start with a compressed archive and use a DOS extraction utility if you need a little more room.

I also want to know how to make an image out of this Partition magic also. Booting with CD is much faster than the floppy. Lately, I hardly use floppy disk at all, all I use to transfer flie is by using CD-R/RW or thumb drive.
Anyway, SuperERD or SuperUtil made by KH should do the trick, Those are what I use for booting into Partition Magic.
