I was wondering, as I have 2 x 512mb PC3500 (DDR433) if you have an AMD 2800 (166*12.5), sinse the FSB of the CPU is 166mhz, and you are opperating in dual channel mode for the 1GB of DDR Ram. Isn't it a waste of memory bandwidth because the CPU wont be able to keep up with how fast the memory can go? If this is the case, then how can I fix this problem? After all PC3500 should have a max bandwidth of around 6-7GB per second in dual channel mode. I'm only getting in the 2362MB, in everest home edition (under benchmark), can someone please point me in the right direction as to how to improve this benchmark, and improve the overall proformance of my computer.

Thanks Very Much,
~PCTech

Running the RAM speed faster than the CPU bus speed will not get you any benifits. It's better to have them in sync.
Here's an article that might help you.

Yeap you just need DDR333/PC2700.

Or just overclock cpu by 100mhz.

Or match the cpu speed to the ram speed or even more!
