I've tried the cheap ones before and they lacked posts of other ones. I have found Easy News to be the best. you can search and download from your web browser or NNTP software.

Agree, Easynews is one of the best , but 10$ for 6Gig a month is not that much

I"m using Newshosting.com for the moment 10$ - 10Gig an when I reach the limit, I use
my friends account from Easynews

More info

It's up to 10 gig's a month now and they have a couple ways you can add about 4 more by answering a survey once a week and joining Grid.org to help fight cancer.
Plus, if you use the NNTP servers and not the web, 1 gig will actually only "cost" you.75gig. Well, here is cut and paste;

Price

* $9.98 for 10 Gigabytes or 30 days, which ever comes first.
* NNTP downloads are discounted by 25% to account for encoding overhead and headers are free.
* Participate in our free gig offers and use up to 14 gigs on HTTP and 18.6 gigs on NNTP for $9.98.
* Earn 2 free gigs/month for every idle CPU.
* Earn 2 free gigs/month for taking our members survey (survey results).
* Pay as you go - You are never locked into a high monthly rate.
* Payable by credit card, cash, web 900# or mail-in subscription.
* Risk-free money back

When considering a usenet news server, the following factors, in no particular order, will need to be considered:

Completeness
Retention
Cost
Speed

Obviously, a satisfactory mix of all the above, ranked by your needs is what will determine VALUE to the individual.

For me GIGANEWS, www.giganews.com has provided that balance and I urge consistent downloaders to try this one first.
