MEMORY IP FIRM Rambus said last night it has filed an antitrust suit in the US against Hynix, Infineon, Siemens, and Micron.
It charges then with acting in a joint effort to eliminate competition and in its own words stifle innovation in the memory technology market.
The firm said in a statement that these companies were involved in a conspiracy to fix prices, monopolise the market, interfere with prospective economic advantage and unfairly compete.
This is a case of the worm turning. The FTC appealed against a recent verdict by a federal judge overturning an antitrust complaint made against it.
