I assume you also have a fan for the Processor. With that many fan motors running it could be a case of drawing quite a current load which simply makes more heat. Generally heat comes from Motors that are running except for the Main&Video Processors. I expect both of the Processors have a fan to disperse the heat from the immediate area.

How many hard drives are you running? Some servers have drive Arrays numbering 5-7 or more drives in the case. In a machine like that 4 or more fans is a good idea. Having several fans is mostly for reliability incase one or two fail for some reason.
